When looking up at the moonlit night, one might occasionally witness the opening of a gate leading to another world. It is said in the Digital World that when this happens, it is because a Kaguyamon is crying somewhere. Found in beautiful bamboo groves of the eastern Digital World, Kaguyamon has been influenced by the data of a certain princess described in Japanese legend.
　It has a quiet and peaceful nature, acting as guardian of the many mountains that cover the eastern Digital World. It also has the power to open portals to faraway places, even Digital Worlds of other dimensions, enveloping the transported individuals and objects in light to have them appear from a stalk of bamboo at their destination. As it often sends multiple Digimon under its command to areas where anomalous activity has occurred, bamboo groves are said to have formed at such sites.
　Along with the waves of psychic energy emitted from the bamboo-like device on its back, it can manipulate psychokinetic energy, granting it high mobility and the ability to fly. It sometimes uses these powers to handle problems that its subordinates were unable to resolve.
　With its special move Bamboo Reaper, Kaguyamon uses psychokinesis to disarm enemies before raining destruction on the surrounding area in a hail of psychic bullets, and it can use Heavenly Outpour to bombard enemies with extradimensional meteors.
