A Composite Digimon with both Beast and Machine traits. Although Digimon with mechanical parts are not uncommon, Maquinamon's appearance—perfectly divided between Machine and Beast—is a rarity.
　The balance between these two traits being unstable, it does not often show emotion nor hostility towards opposing Digimon. Its strength in battle is also lacking, making it vulnerable in the cutthroat environment of the Digital World.
　Although lacking in emotion, it is faithful to its instincts and has a tremendous appetite; it is thought that this is due to its instability making its metabolism extremely inefficient.　 However, its animal sense of smell and robotic eyesight make it skilled at finding food, and it is always on the move in search of its next meal. Notably, it is able to change its physiology by gathering data from its surroundings, making it omnivorous and fit for any environment.
　Its special move Twin Bubbles allows it to spit bubbles of fire and electric energy in two rapid bursts. However, these bubbles are barely more powerful than those of In-Training Digimon, making them only useful as a distraction.
