Compared to CannonBeemon, which protects the base with its large, wide body, Vespamon defends vital facilities using its endless supply of stamina and speed. Vespamon, charged with protecting QueenBeemon, is the highest ranking unit at the base and part of the "Royal Guard," which only accepts the strongest of the strongest. These elite Vespamon are given code names, and they Digivolve into TigerVespamon. Vespamon places a heavy emphasis on cooperation with its allies during battle, and it will not hesitate to sacrifice its life for the queen or the base.
　In the Mach Stinger special move, Vespamon attacks using its Royal Lance, a spear that is shrouded in a beam. With its Bee Phalanx tactical formation, Vespamon deploys a hexagonal beam shield from its "Royal Shield" and launches a burst of energy from the spear at its ready.
