A Puppet Digimon found mainly in ruin-rich regions of the eastern Digital World. It strongly resembles a haniwa, and much like its namesake, its entire body is made of clay. Although it looks quite hardy as a result, it is more brittle than its appearance would suggest due to being composed of clay data instead of clay itself, and its body is quick to crack and chip. It can be seen steadily working to repair itself whenever this happens.
　While its blank expression can be initially off-putting, it has a mild-mannered nature, and is friendly towards other species. However, it has a strong aversion to the hair on its head being touched, to the point of flying into a rage when this occurs.
　Although weak, it possesses a holy power, and multiple Hanimon gathering to dance can produce a barrier capable of warding off Dark Digimon.
　Its special move, Haniwa Flash, allows it to emit a mysterious light beams from its eyes to both attack and blind enemies, and it can use Tumulus Tackle to collide into its opponent with full force, albeit at the risk of damaging itself.
