Of a peaceful nature, it usually spends its time playing music along with the bird Digimon that perch on its horns. However, Cernumon may emit loud warning sounds and punish any dangerous forest intruder.
Cernumon has the power to completely transform the land, as the music it plays can make vegetation sprout in even the most barren of environments. It can also offer songs in prayer to familiar woodland Digimon that pass away and revive them as Digi-Eggs.
Cernumon is a sacred Digimon that strives for the regeneration of the forest, as it offers memorials to the numerous fallen.
As for its special moves, Cernumon will render its opponent unable to act by emitting an extremely loud, high-pitched horn sound in its Celtic Bind. With Scatter Gorm Glas, it waves its tail and shakes up the leaves to slice and dice its foe.
