A top-class Ghost Digimon that has absorbed data from a variety of ghosts and horrors on the Net. It wields a gravestone-shaped sword, the GreyBlade, a vicious weapon that brings death to all who touch it, despite it being completely blunt. If Necromon happens to encounter a skilled Digimon as it drifts about, it will plunge the GreyBlade into the prospective foe without making a sound. It takes great joy in absorbing the data of Digimon it defeats this way into the lantern it carries.
　The data also gets recorded in the tome it also carries, the Necronomicon, which can be summoned like a ghost in battle.
　While it has the strength to manipulate the dead, Necromon is extremely weak to light and holy power, and it will never appear before Digimon possessing such abilities.
　With its special move Soul Striker, Necromon plunges the GreyBlade into its opponent as if it were a real gravestone, piercing the Digimon's defenses and completely destroying its DigiCore. In addition, Apparition Legion summons all of the ghost data it has absorbed from Digimon into a spiritual form that annihilates the enemy like a relentless army, no matter how much it may hurt itself in the process.
